The Governing Body encourage all other JW's to 'obey the superior authorities', after all... Yet have they done so, or have they disobeyed the authorities? (read the email to understand).

Maybe he could highlight that.

The entire point is to provide a channel that only has the ARC videos, so it is completely safe for JW's to watch.

what do you think of the following line of reasoning for helping a jw start to think about what they are admitting.. (essentially, the organisations way of handling child abuse has been wrong, harm has been caused, god is now putting it right.).

But if cleansing or correction was necessary, so is repentance..

WE publishers are told that we can't have Gods favor unless:

when we make serious mistakes, or even unintentionally cause harm to others by our decisions, we are repentant, and apologise to restore peace when necessary..

Further, if our mistakes or incompetence have caused harm that cannot be passed over, it is our duty to apologise.

An apology on behalf of the organisation is needed to restore peace, then 'works that befit repentance'. ie changes to procedures and guidance, placing child safety above child molestors' confidentiality.

That is a great idea defender of truth! We should make a Roku channel dedicated to Case Study 29 of the Royal Commission.

We could then play it through the TV for our families, with no risk of JW's worrying about 'apostate comments' etc.

(Don't know about copyright issues? But the YouTube channels are still there, and I doubt the ARC would have a problem with it..)

I just sent this email to Angus Stewart:

Dear Mr.Stewart,
Thank you very much for the excellent work you have done in the public hearing into Jehovah's Witnesses for the Australian Royal Commission. You are clearly very dedicated to your cause. It's been a pleasure to watch your professional and methodical approach.

I do not wish to bother you or waste your valuable time, but this is, I feel, an important question to address to Mr Geoffrey Jackson..

Not only for the court record, but also for the sake of many (JW or otherwise) that will be listening in and reading the transcripts, who are told (in the case of Jehovah's Witnesses) not to read any negative stories in the press or pass them on. Most have no idea of the court battles that the organisation has fought to protect the details of those who have committed crimes against children..

This is only a rough and amateurish outline, of course. I have no doubt you would be able to do much better with the phrasing and such, but I hope that you might consider using at least part of the general reasoning. I would be honoured if you even read this, to be honest.

Is it true that in 2014 Mr. Loesch, your fellow member of the Governing Body ignored a direct court order to appear, and that the Watchtower organisation (which you oversee and direct) refused court orders to hand over vital documents regarding child abuse, when they were in fact able to do so?
